The Katy Trail

In September, we went to the Katy Trail Head in Rocheport, MO with two other families. The kids had a great time climbing rocks, going through the tunnel and gathering things for a nature scavenger hunt. They also learned that the wetlands serve as a resting and feeding place for migrating birds. Each year, more than 10 million ducks use the Mississippi Flyway, one of the nation's major bird migration highways.
